Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa finally resigned

Bangalore: After a three day long political drama , Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa  finally resigned on Sunday 31 July.
 Mr. Yeddyurappa said to the mediapersons outside the Raj Bhavan “We have proposed the name of D.V. Sadananda Gowda as Chief Ministerial candidate,”  in presence of his closed  60 MLAs and ministers. Lok Sabha MP D.V. Sadananda Gowda  belongs to the dominant Vokkaliga community.

After submitting his resignation, Mr. Yeddyurappa met with senior party leader Arun Jaitley to decide on the successor. Mr. Yeddyurappa  said he would abide by whatever decision his party high command takes on his political future, and being made the State party unit president
